Klais & Company, Inc. Partners With OME-RESA- News Release

Klais & Company, Inc. has entered into an administrative services agreement with Ohio Mid-Eastern Regional Service Agency (OME-RESA) which will allow consortium members to select Klais & Company among the TPA’s authorized to provide third party administrative services for their self-funded health plans.

First organized in 1975, OME-RESA is an educational service agency that established a partially self-insured health benefits program in 1985, and provides health care and related insurance benefits for over fifty member organizations throughout the state of Ohio. Members can be school districts and other qualifying government agencies.

The OME-RESA Health Benefits Plan enables eligible members to provide individually designed benefit programs to their employees while being able to enjoy the cost-saving advantages of group purchasing through a large consortium. A unique “reserve pool” feature allows similar entities share the risk of fluctuations in claims costs inherent in the self-insurance plans, and allows funding levels to be fixed once a year for easier budgeting and cash flow planning.

Nancy Archibald, President of Klais and Company said that she is pleased to be able to offer current and future clients the option of being part of a large consortium and still being able to select Klais & Company as their administrator.

“OME-RESA is a great solution for school districts and public entities that need to keep current plan designs, but are looking to control costs though greater scale and get better control of their cash flow,” she said.
